My favorite book to read aloud is The BFG by Roald Dahl. My 4th grade teacher read this to us when we were in class and I fell in love with it. I read all the Road Dahl books that year. I haven't read it to my class yet, need to re-read before I read aloud and make sure everything is appropriate.
Right now I am reading the Daily 5 (as most of you know) and it is so far my fave professional read. Making so many new plans for next year while reading!

Have fun at the beach--I am jealous! Even here with the 109 degrees (yes! It was officially 109 outside on Friday!) the pool is still too brutal to be outside for an hour or two.
ReplyDeleteI have not heard of The BFG. I'm going to have to check it out now!

It's Roald Dahl and BFG stands for the Big Friendly Giant. It's a sweet friendship story with just enough of gross man-eating giants to satisfy everyone from your girliest girls to your boyliest boys. One of my favorites, too, and I'm so glad someone else loves it as much as I do!

I LOVE me some True Blood! I'm right there with you on the baseball tourney... I have 2 boys, on different teams. Now they want to play fall ball too! Ugh! It's never ending :) I'm still 3 weeks away from going to Lake Huron for a week. Summer moves too slow and too fast at the same time.
